The Most Amazing Video On Youtube
Of all the inexplicable, unpredictable, disconcerting, crazy-ass shit I have seen on Youtube over the years, this made my jaw drop the hardest. My pulse went up. My head started shaking from side-to-side, slowly, without my notice.
The merits of the video are, I should hope, clear on their own and don’t need my enumeration. What I’m sort of digging beyond that is why this video in particular has amazed me more than any other, which is a reason I think is jaw-dropping all on its own.
This is what this video achieves: it constructs an argument. For all its rapid, seemingly-stream-of-consciousness dialogue, there is not a wasted word. Yes, it’s a call for reason and even-handedness and all that good stuff, but to be honest the peace thing has never really turned me on all that much. What does turn me on, fseriously, is the appeal to language. He is basically constructing a defense of the way we use words, and the singular shaping effect words have on our expression and even our thought.
I didn’t know that I needed this video so much, but I did.
